Brighton Vegan Bites: Wai Kika Moo Kau

Delicious vegan and vegetarian food at Wai Kika Moo Kau. Pronounce this exactly as it's spelled and have a good laugh!

This place rocks because they have delicious food and cow humor. Who doesn't like cow humor?! It's udderly fantastic.

I stopped in here one day in Brighton, and loved this place immediately. It has such a cute, cozy and inviting atmosphere with wooden tables inside and also outside seating so you can people watch on the famously hip street of Kensington Gardens

They have a huge diverse menu of veg*n goodies inspired from all around the world. Everything from falafel to soups to nachos to chili to burgers. Tons of tasty comfort food. They serve full menus of breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a selection of vegan and organic coffee, juices, smoothies, wine and beer.

So, you could basically live here.

In England, there is a 'traditional' English breakfast that usually consists of baked beans, baked tomatoes, hash browns, toast, sausage and eggs. Wai Kika Moo Kau offers this classic dish in a vegetarian version (veggie sausage and eggs) and also a vegan version (vegan sausage and oven baked marinated tofu)!

But the highlight of this place, for me, was their amazing homemade vegan treats! Chocolate avocado mousse! Fudge bars! And the cakes! So many cakes!

Vegan cake is something you don't find all that often and when you do, it's definitely something to celebrate. So I couldn't leave without sampling them. They had a delicious one called Oreo Magic - so moist, fluffy, and with a super sweet creamy icing. I *may* have had two slices along with my soy latte.

And then, I very much wanted to live here.
