Hi. I'm amanda burger. And I'm here to find out if there's more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good-looking.
Wait, no, that's Zoolander.
Actually, it's because I've always been a chronic nomad allergic to monotony. I was never happy in my little box made of ticky tacky. So in '14, I finally put everything I owned into one bag, and morphed myself into a full-time traveler. Check out some tips, introvert musings, and questions I get asked about solo travel.
I slowly housesit my way around the world, care for animals, discover vegan foods, obsess over zero waste minimalism, and occasionally write stories. An ethical vegan since '94, and a major foodie, I'm always on the hunt for delicious foods around the world, especially my favorite - burgers!
on the road:
People often ask where I'm from and there's no place I call home. I bounced around the United States, and the planet, for 20+ years, like a pinball, rarely settling anywhere for more than a few months and collecting over 40 addresses along the way. I broke a lot of apartment leases, a lot of hearts, and a lot of glass picture frames. Also: I'm clumsy.
Since I started traveling full-time, the only thing I break now is routine. And that's way better.
