Located in Panglao, this fully vegan restaurant in Bohol serves up some of the best plant-based Filipino food and international dishes you can find on the island.

If you are looking for a conscious dining experience that supports local farmers and animal welfare, this cozy spot needs to be at the top of your travel itinerary!

The vibe here is beautifully community-oriented.

The Vegan Shack shares a lovely, relaxed outdoor space with Kahu Coffee, making it the perfect spot to grab a specialty caffeine fix, matcha, or tea alongside your meal.

During my visit, I of course had to try the vegan burger—it was incredibly satisfying and really hit the spot after a long day of exploring.

The homemade patty made from local beans and banana blossom was incredibly hearty and flavorful.

What really brought it all together was their creamy, tangy sauce that gave every bite the perfect kick.

And fries? Yes please!

But what truly makes this place unforgettable is their massive heart for animals.

The owners run an amazing initiative called Kahu & Friends, rescuing local stray dogs and cats, rehabilitating them, and facilitating adoptions to give them a second chance at life.
